Fueling Academic Dreams: Graduating Senior Scholarships

We are delighted to share that the JLGT Foundation proudly awarded two scholarships, each amounting to $750, to deserving graduating seniors. These scholarships serve as vital financial assistance, enabling bright young minds to pursue higher education and realize their academic ambitions. We are immensely proud to invest in the next wave of leaders and innovators. Both recipients demonstrated remarkable personal growth through their advocacy for causes they passionately believed in, even when standing alone.

This award is not an outcome-based award. It isn’t about finding who from the graduating class did the “most good,” the most community service hours, helped the most people, or even raised the most money. For us, it’s about the grit and conviction these students show, standing up and fighting for something they believe in or are passionate about, even if they are the only one. It's about the hard work in engaging with systems and structures, growing, learning, and continuing to care despite the obstacles they face.

Igniting Young Imaginations: 7th Grade Writing Contest

To cultivate a deep appreciation for literacy and creative expression, the JLGT Foundation generously provided $1,000 in funding for a 7th-grade writing contest. This initiative served as a powerful catalyst, encouraging young writers to refine their skills, explore the depths of their imaginations, and confidently share their unique perspectives, thereby celebrating the transformative power of words within our educational institutions. But more important than that was the role Chris and Shiv played on the day of the event; pizza delivery boys!

Bridging Gaps, Building Memories: 8th Grade Class Trip Support

Recognizing the immense value of enriching experiences, we dedicated significant efforts to support the 8th-grade class trip. Through the collective generosity of our esteemed community partners and individual contributors, the JLGT Foundation successfully raised $400. This collaborative endeavor dramatically lowered the per-student cost from an initial $54 to an incredibly accessible $5 per student, ensuring that financial constraints did not hinder any student from participating in this invaluable and memorable educational excursion.
